Do you have a male friend you know whose birthday is coming up? Then you’re probably wondering what to get him. There are a lot of cool presents for men out there. A lot of people have the strange idea that all men like power tools. This is a stereotypical misconception; it may surprise you to know that not all men like power tools.
You need to think about what the man you are buying for does for a living, and enjoys in his free time. For instance the drill that we just mentioned would be perfect for a construction worker or a man who likes carpentry. However if he likes electronics then you have a wider choice of things to buy. Everything from TV’s to video games.
You’ll have a good idea if your man likes electronics. Usually there will be magazines, or he will talk about them a lot. Or you can just look into his den and see if there is a wall of metal and plastic. Flashing lights may also give a hint. The type of electronics is a different matter though.
Another thing you need to consider is that there is a difference between electronics people and computer people. Computer people are often called ‘packrats’ for all the parts they keep strewn about their homes. We can’t help it we never know when we will need them. Other men also like camcorders and other audio video electronics, and then you have gamers.
Most notably the hardest to buy for these men love their games. When buying for a gamer you have to figure out which time period of games he likes. Whether he is an older gamer or he is a modern gamer. Then you have to figure out which system and game types he likes. After all this you then need to get him something he doesn’t already have.
Then there are the safe gifts. These are what you get a guy and can be assured he will like. Essentially the first is an electric razor; after all we do need to shave. Then there is the new TV. What guy doesn’t like a new TV?
Keep in mind not all of us are the same. Every expert seems to think we all like starring at naked ladies and drinking beer all the time but that’s a big misconception. We are often just a sensitive about issues and as complicated inside as anyone else. Finding cool presents for men isn’t hard if you just take the time to get to know us.
